Obituary

Annette K. Ingwersen, 83, of Moline, IL, died Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at Heartland Health Care in Moline. Visitation will be Monday, February 17 th , from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline.  Services will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 18 th , at 11:00 a.m., with burial at National Cemetery on Arsenal Island in Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to Quad Cities Greyhound Adoption, 9525 New Liberty Road, Walcott, IA 52773. Annette was born February 3, 1937, in East Moline, IL, daughter of E. Melville and J. Josephine (Peterson) VanBuskirk.  She was married to Paul Isenberger, who died in 1993.  On March 11, 1995, she married Noel Ingwersen, who survives. She graduated with the United Township High School Class of 1955.  Annette began employment at John Deere Harvester Works, and retired years later from John Deere Plow Planter as a department head.  In her younger years, she was a snow mobile enthusiast in Wisconsin.  She loved dancing, and enjoyed traveling to Europe, Asia, and Africa. In addition to her husband, Noel, survivors include her sister, Rebecca Ziegler of East Moline; her aunt, Phyllis Felkner of East Moline; step-children, Debra Johnson, David Howell, and Amanda Tyler; a niece, two nephews, and four great-nieces, and a great-nephew. She was preceded by her parents, her first husband, one sister, and one brother.

Annette will be truly missed! She was such a wonderful woman taking in retired greyhounds and celebrating special occasions with family! We loved listening to all her wonderful stories about her and Becky growing up.

Please accept the condolences of me and my family, on the untimely passing of your wife, Annette. I've known her for so many years, that I've lost count. When she was a very young girl, she dated a good buddy of mine, Rod Swanson. I, also, knew her father. Mel. She will be missed by all who knew her.

The grandkids Izzy and Zoey loved Annette and Noel and going to see them up north at the cabin with Grandma Becky. The will always have fond memories all their life's.
